How does Public Service Federal Credit Union protect my personal information?

How does Public Service Federal Credit Union collect my personal information?
We collect your personal information, for example, when you

  • open an account or apply for a loan
  • give us your income or use a debit card
  • give us your employment information

When you use your debit card. Additionally, we gather information from others; i.e. credit bureaus and other companies.

Why can’t I limit all sharing?

Federal law gives you the right to limit only

  • Sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes – information about your creditworthiness;
  • Affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • Sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you

State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing. We do not have any affiliates with whom we share.

Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • Public Service Federal Credit Union has no affiliates

Nonaffiliates
Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • Public Service Federal Credit Union does share information with these types of nonaffiliates: insurance companies, plastic card processors, data processors, check printers, government agencies.

Joint marketing
A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.
